I was lucky enough to be squeezed into a day long press junket with Brian Ray, who is promoting his new record, “CRASH BOOM BANG!” with his band The Bayonets. Frankly, I was a little nervous. I mean this is the guy that’s been standing on stage next to Sir Paul McCartney for the last 15 years. That is no small feat. I
I’m pretty new at this journalism stuff, and I feared for the worst…and through the ‘miracle’ of modern technology, I was not disappointed. I had some technical difficulties with my recording set up, and had to bumble around to get it right. Brian was more than kind and understanding, and above all patient. I finally got everything working and we had a lovely conversation about his musical journey, his guitars, and working with his band mate Oliver Leiber and JEM Records to put out the new album with The Bayonets.
