On this week’s show, our friends from Texas came through with some great pre-release music! We heard new tracks from Wade Johnson (first time ever played on Woody Radio), The Re-Used Electrics, Victor Erwin’s band (also a Woody Radio debut), and Lannie Flowers. All seriously great rock ‘n’ roll songs that demand a listen, and a second listen as well. As far as that Lannie Flowers track goes–it’ll soon be available on the Spyderpop Records website as a limited time, free download, as we march toward the release date of Lannie’s next album.
We also got to hear a strangely diverse set of music. What other radio station would even attempt to string the following artists together in the same set? Yep, we got away with playing songs by Buck Owens, Brick, and Cast, one after the other. What do they have in common? Um, well–they sound surprisingly good together on the radio!
This is our last “single digit” show, as we careen wildly towards show #10, next time we convene. Does that mean that either the show or the host are going to get more mature? I wouldn’t bet good money on it–we want to stay as weird and fun as ever! Enjoy the show!
