With this most recent show, we’ve reached a few milestones. This is Show #10, our first step into double digits, where we expect to hang out for the next 90 shows. Starting now, we’re going to move a little faster to the next goal, because we’ve now stepped up our game. I’m now on every Tuesday night of every month! The first three Tuesdays will be live, and the subsequent ones will either be encore presentations, or I might occasionally sneak into the studio and do a live one. And if you really want more, my Twirl Radio shows have started airing on Woody Radio on Wednesdays, from just after 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Pacific.
But enough about that–what’s most important is the music. And this week’s episode introduces some more new music. Brand new tracks from the legendary Steve Barton of translator, who just released a–wait for it–three album set! Also new songs from Great Britain’s Spygenius, The Sleep Junkies and Tawny Thiele out of Fowler, CA (from the great new Fowl Tone Records Sampler), and Chicago’s own Sunshine Boys (featuring Dag Juhlin and Freda Love Smith). We also unearth some deep cuts from Fanny, The Who, The Clash, Old 97’s, and so much more. The playlist turned out to be fairly odd, er, I mean “diverse”! Not only that, but I was recovering from a little cold I picked up while on vacation. It’ll be interesting to see if you can tell.
