Woody Radio DJ Mike Show #11, 3/20/2018

DjMikeWoodyRadio
This week’s show was a mix of old and new. We debuted a track from Michael Simmons’ forthcoming solo debut album, First Days of Summer! Mike’s known for his bands Sparkle*jets u.k. and Popdudes. He’s an amazing vocalist and versatile musician, and this album is a tour de force through a whole spectrum of upbeat, bright pop music. We’ll dig into it more in coming weeks. Speaking of upbeat pop, we heard another track from the Bottle Kids’ upcoming release. And amongst the new stuff, we didn’t forget our musical forebears. We made sure to play The Who, Peter Murphy–and a really cool track from Right Said Fred that’s not I’m Too Sexy!

You know who’s really lucky? Me, that’s who! Woody Radio entrusts me with a few hours of airtime every week to play whatever music I want, and I make the most of my time. I mean, really, I squeezed in over 50 songs! And you know who else plays whatever they want? All the other great DJs at Woody Radio. I am constantly amazed and entertained whenever I listen to my colleagues’ shows. Their depth of musical knowledge is stunning, and the variety that you’ll hear on our station is breathtaking. So tune in anytime, and prepare to hear something great! Meanwhile, enjoy this week’s show.
