Coming off the long Memorial Day holiday weekend, I was really missing you guys. I’ve been chomping at the bit to play some music for you–so I did–53 songs in all! We started with Chuck and Buck (Prophet and Owens), and the night got progressively better and better. We had some lively conversation going on in the chat room, while I spun new 2018 music from Miami Dan, Blake Jones & the Trike Shop, Sunshine Boys, and more. And I kind of mixed them in with the likes of Lou Reed, The Beat Farmers, The Who, Roberta Flack, and more. Because that’s what you do. You put the great indie music of today alongside the more well-known greats. We hook you in with the artists you already know, and introduce you to indies who are every bit as good, and deserve to be played together.
And that bit about the chat room? Well, there’s not too many things more fun than playing some music for your friends. If I didn’t have a radio show, I might invite you all into my living room, and play you some songs from my collection, while we eat, drink, and play board games. So until I can get you all over to my house, my Woody Radio Tuesday night kind of covers the music and hanging out part.
