As luck would have it, this show fell on Independence Day eve, so as our own Boris would say, it’s our “Indie-pendence Day” show! And yes, most of the music played on this show comes from the great independent artists out there whose music should be played alongside the well-known artists who’ve influenced us all. And in the case of this show–they are!
That’s about as patriotic as I get. I love my country, and I love the music that comes from here, as well as other places. We played music that comes from coast to coast, as well as from north to south. From Sean O’Brien to Elk City, and from Sunshine Boys to Lannie Flowers, we’ve got this great country covered. And we didn’t forget our Canadian, English, and Australian friends either–we’ve got you covered too! I think the only thing I forgot to do was to quit on time, so you’re now staring at a show that’s 3 hours and 30 minutes long. 56 songs in all. So what are you waiting for? Press that Play button and enjoy all this indie goodness!
And…when you’re done, check out all the other great programs on Woody Radio. They’ve all got you covered in different ways too, 24/7.
Happy Independence Day to you and yours! Enjoy the show.
