This show was a minor milestone for me–show #25! Yes–the 25th time that the gatekeepers at Woody Radio let their guard down and let me sneak in undetected and enabled me to do a show! This was also the last live show before a two week hiatus (of which we are in the middle of, at this writing). So I needed to make it a good one. I had to prove a point.
And what would that point be? Um, well, I guess this is where I make up something. No wait–I’ve got it! Great music! That’s always the point. We heard a fun little “Battle of the Blakes” (Jones and Babies). I played a track I hadn’t played in a while from Thowback Suburbia. It was a song that they donated to the radiothon that Gidget spearheaded back in 2011, to assist in Japan tsunami relief efforts. Musical magnificence both old (Teenage Fanclub) and new (Danny Wilkerson). And we even heard some Bobbleheads, Catbirds, a Pugwash, an Outryder, and a Spygenius! The music flowed together pretty well, and I hope you enjoy it too.
