This week’s show really had me bouncing around the world of music. I think there was a little something in it for everyone. We heard brand new music from Lost Leaders, featuring Byron Isaacs, who released one of my favorite albums last year. And then we segued right into an obscure Clash tune from Sandinista! So pretty much, right out the gate, we took a deep dive, and kept plowing right along. We went back to the Paisley Underground glory of The Rain Parade, we heard my top song from last year, performed wonderfully by Elk City, brand new music from Rogers & Butler, and a rare, unreleased demo by the pre-Armoires Christina and Rex. We heard supergroups from Canada and Chicago, and offshoot projects of The Feelies and Poplord. I’d say everybody was fairly well represented.
Oh–and for the third week in a row–we performed the now-customary Fortune Cookie Report. Yes, I cracked into one, and you and I now know how to approach the coming week, before the next show.
