Double overtime. 55 songs. Introducing an audience to brand new for 2019 music. This show had all of that, and more.
2019 is shaping up to be the year where lots of my long time favorites are putting out new albums. Some of them, like The Bobbleheads, The Decibels, Trip Wire, Matt Langlois (of The Welcome Matt), Chancellorpink, and Lost Leaders (Byron Isaacs’ new band), have already gotten the new music into my hands. There are others, who are working on finishing up their albums, such as The Armoires, Identical Suns, Lannie Flowers, The Handcuffs, Sunshine Boys, and more, who either haven’t finished, or have given me a listen but sworn me to secrecy. I can’t tell you which ones–because again, I’ve been sworn to secrecy!
But not to worry. Eventually, you’ll hear all of this music, once I get it in my hands, and get it cleared for takeoff. It’s still only March, but these bands are all releasing music as if their lives depended on it. And you know what–I think in some cases, they do!

I also gave out several reports on this week’s show. The now-expected fortune cookie report–where I open, eat, and read a fortune cookie, live on the show, and my fortune is your fortune. I also gave the Sacramento weather report, the food report (I was eating pizza during the show), and the birthday report (it was The Armoires/Big Stir’s Rex Broome celebrating a birthday that day).
I also alluded to a certain happening coming up on May 26th in Sacramento–a live, Twirl Radio Pop Fest, hosted by yours truly. Too early to announce the lineup, but let’s just say if you like the music you hear on this show, then you’ll want to clear your calendar for that one.
And finally–I’m preemptively releasing an old baby picture of myself that my brother dug up. In case I ever decide to run for public office, I want to disclose all the stuff from my past right now, before it becomes problemmatic. Seems random, but you never know.
Anyway, I hope you can give a listen to this show. And once you’re done, listen to the other great shows on Woody Radio. Each of our DJs gives you the best music to listen to. We all share a great love for the music, and we all want you to hear it. Enjoy!
