Baby Mike says “enjoy the music this week”!
This week’s show was a musical shmograbord…schmorgazbored…smoregabor…um, buffet! You know, the thing where they serve you up lots of everything? Yeah–well we fearlessly and shamelessly mixed up a whole bunch of music, from all over the musical pantry. I’m especially happy that I ran across a couple of new (to me) artists this past week: Nick Eng, out of Reno, and Forrest, a band from the Bay Area. Both great, both worth exploring. Also–we debuted the long awaited Berliner Grotesk album from Anton Barbeau–the first of 4 or 5 projects he’s been working on simultaneously–the man is incredibly prolific. We got to hear some new tracks from Karen Haglof, Amoeba Teen, 50 Watt Heavy, and Drunken Prayer as well. All this new stuff, but we didn’t forget the bands and albums we’ve been playing for the last year. Variety–yeah, we spiked the punch with it!

Oh–and in case I didn’t mention it–we had to go into overtime this week. Double overtime, to be exact. 3 hours just wasn’t enough time to squeeze in all the music I wanted to play for you. I’m really bad at this time management thing–but it seems the management here at Woody Radio is really bad at punishing me for it. So we have a stalemate. And a 3-1/2 hour show.

So go for the gusto–give a listen to at least a little of the show. Enjoy, and I’ll see you next Tuesday!
