We also dive a little deeper into Lannie Flowers’ magnificent new album, Home. This one took a while to get out into the world, but it is so worth the wait. I recommend you buy this one, and listen to it with headphones, in one shot, from start to finish. It will speak to you. Actually, it will sing to you, but you know what I mean. It features the finest songwriting of Lannie’s career, so far.
Finally–a nice slab of vinyl arrived in my mailbox this week. Technically, it arrived at the place where my mailbox is located, and the nice person at the counter retrieved it for me. Makes sense, since my mailbox measures only about 3″ x 4″ inches, and it would be tragic if they’d tried to stuff the brand new Blaine Campbell album, “Under the Tidal Wave”, in there. This is a great new direction from Blaine. It still features his sunny, beachy, Caliornia sound, but he’s thrown some quirkiness into the mix, which just warms my little indie heart. It’s a fun listen.
This show also features my patented mix of “stuff that doesn’t belong together”, but still sounds right. We’re getting close to Christmas. Use this show as a list of gift suggestions for those who deserve to hear some great music. Enjoy the show. I’d love to hear what you think!
