Woody Radio DJ Mike Show #91, 2/4/2020: Top 40 songs of 2019

The tuxedo T-shirt helps out in the award-giving process.

On this Woody Radio exclusive show, I reveal my Top 40 songs of 2019. This happened a few days after my annual Twirlie Awards show over on Twirl Radio. We started the show with Juliana Hatfield’s first ever solo release. Not that she put it out in 2019–far from it, it came out back in 1993, but it was a good warmup song before getting into the actual countdown. And note that the list below, in true rock and roll fashion, is backwards! Yep, starting at #40 and going down to #1. It may look funny on paper, but on the radio, this is how it played out. It is a countDOWN, for crying out loud, not a countUP!

Enjoy these great songs, and try to support these indie artists in any way you can.
