Rebuilding Permit is a collection of rockers and quieter songs, and they’re all very personal. Dolph has been through some stuff, but remains optimistic, and that attitude pervades the album. The emotional centerpiece is the song “Broken”. That one gets me every time. A touching song, you realize that Dolph is a survivor, but offers to give you a hand in picking yourself up.
